When the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 was declared in Barcelona, it did not come as a shock. We had already known the tablet, though it is 100 per cent official now.
The latest entrant to Samsung Note lineup fetches with it an 8inch TFT LCD with a 1280 x 800 pixels screen. It is power driven by an Exynos 4 Quad central processing unit clocking at 1.6GHz supported by 2GB of RAM. The great news is this tablet comes with Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, although with the TouchWiz / Nature user interface on top.
Obviously, a Note gadget arrives with the S Pen & the typical set of pen optimised applications. Samsung has upgraded the stylus to work on the capacitive keys sitting alongside the physical home key; users do not need to make a transition from pen to finger while utilizing the thingy.
The body is a usual Samsung piece of designing made from plastic & offers a glossy coat & round corners similar to majority of Samsung recent smart phones.
On the rear of this tablet is a 5 MP auto focus snapper, which is capable of shooting videos in 1080p HD. The front flaunts a 1.3 MP snapper, which must be enough for voice calls.
Samsung has joined hands with Peel to fetch a Smart Remote application to the Note 8.0. This is the manufacturers endeavor to get a piece of the home entertainment marketplace. It comes with an infrared blaster on the right corner & the Asian manufacturer has included a visual programming guide with remote control functionalities on the tab.
Detailing on pricing & launch dates are still to be declared. Keep an eye on this space for more information.
