Old wine in new bottle; Samsung announces Galaxy Young and Fame

It is raining handsets! After the unveiling of the premium Blackberry Z10, it is time to look at some affordable smartphones. Samsung has uncovered Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame in South Korea, and of course these handsets will head to other markets as well, including the United Kingdom.

Both the devices seem a lot similar to the Galaxy S3, and left us wondering why the Asian manufacturer cannot hire some designers to work on a new layout.

Moving on, the Galaxy Fame comes with somewhat better attributes than the Young with a 3.5inch 480 x 320 pixels screen, 1GHz central processing unit, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal memory space, 5 MP snapper, VGA front snapper, Near Field Communication, 1,300mAh battery Android Jelly Bean.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Young comes with a 3.27inch, 480 x 320 resolution LCD, 1 GHz COU, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal of storage space with micro SD card slot, 3MP fixed focus snapper, VGA video recording at 24fps, Bluetooth, WiFi, A GPS, digital compass, Android v4.1 Jelly Bean a 1,300mAh battery.

And depending upon the market, dual SIM facility could be bestowed upon them as well. In developing countries, it is a very popular feature in mobile phone deals. So it makes sense for Samsung to offer dual SIM variants.

Obviously, both the handsets offer Jelly Bean handsets for masses. Hopefully, we will get the first glimpse of these devices at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. And then they will make their eventual passage into the market.
